The purpose of this article is to investigate and examines the legal and institutional protections provided to university teachers who sometimes face harassment from their own students and this article also investigates the problem of defining harassment what in fact constitutes harassment. However, litigation, and legal consideration have focused on harassment of students by teachers and the harassment among the students, teachers are also victim of harassment in form of misconduct sometimes defined as “contra-power” harassment. University teachers have an expressive but insecurity which lies basically on employment discrimination law instead of education law. The efficiency of these protections depends on organizational notice as well as remedial response. This article suggests that a clear definitional for university teachers during their performance of duty, balanced and practical protections, and reliable organizational implementations are mandatory to settle the challenging standards of respect, dignity, protection, professional freedom, peace and due process.
